Job ProfileReporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for leading and coaching a sales team of about 20 people.
The purpose of this role is to optimise sales from a diverse team of technical sales specialists, Channel Managers and BDMs, ensuring the Company’s pipeline of opportunities is effectively managed for maximised revenue generation.
Key to this role will be the development and implementation of effective sales plans and the ability to present and articulate those plans to the CEO and Board.
You will also be required to work collaboratively with other senior managers to develop long term strategic direction and detailed annual plans, whilst managing costs in line with the financial budgets.
You will need to identify new and value creating business opportunities so experience at a senior sales level in the electrical industry or a related wholesale industry would be highly advantageous.
You’ll also be tasked with protecting and enhancing customer relationships as you ensure a smooth and harmonious sales process is delivered.
Person ProfileAs a proven sales leader in the electrical or energy industry or a related wholesale industry, you may be looking for that next step up or be looking for that next exciting growth role within a very successful organisation.

Skills and Experience RequiredDegree in business administration or a related field is helpful but not essentialSuccessful previous experience in a senior sales and general management role, consistently meeting or exceeding targetsCommitted to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferencesDemonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence effectively at all levels internally and externallyProven ability to drive the sales process from plan to closeDemonstrated ability to identify and implement strategies for client services, internal systems, process and development of peopleStrong business sense and industry expertiseExcellent mentoring, coaching and people management skillsTo be eligible for this position you must currently reside in NZ and have a legal right to work permanently in this country.
