6 billion. We take our role seriously as guardians of the rail corridor for future generations, securing and protecting active rail land while disposing of assets that are no longer needed to fund future rail investments.

The role Executive General Manager, Property takes a lead role in the transformation of our business, driving the delivery of KiwiRail's agreed property strategy and ensuring the leverage of our property to create new value to the organisation.

In this role you will provide strategic direction, transformation leadership and translate this into tactical business plans, implementing these across the property portfolio as we undergo significant business change, growth and innovation.

You will provide expertise in all property related matters and act as a trusted advisor to the Group CEO, Board and members of the Executive team, bringing innovative opportunities to enhance the group property strategy.

This leadership role will lead our property group, driving engagement, capability, performance and diversity and will champion a customer led culture that supports growth and delivery.

To be considered for this opportunities you will have senior leadership experience within the New Zealand property or planning / development sector and have successfully managed large teams.

You will demonstrate expertise and understanding of the NZ government and political environment and the complexities of working within this and have excellent commercial and financial acumen that will drive commercial opportunities.

Your breadth of experience will include previous roles where you have translated organisational strategies into tactical business plans in relation to property and your ability to develop of a range of investment models for major investment.

Naturally we would expect you to have extensive statutory property legislation knowledge and a relevant degree in property, commerce or business.
