As manager you will develop the early resolution enquiry and complaint service set up during lockdown to continue to provide a timely, fair and flexible service to help parties engage earlier and less formally before problems become entrenched.
You will lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for resolving enquiries and complaints between employees and employers under the Employment Relations Act 2000.
You will be influential in embedding an ethos and core competency of early resolution.Early resolution is a term to describe the group of informal processes that may be appropriate to use instead of a formal process of mediation or labour standards investigation.
Skills and experience requiredA proven track record of experience in leading, developing and operating dispute resolution, complaint management, case management or similar service delivery functionAbility to influence employers' to achieve change at an industry levelRelevant work experience in case management, dispute resolution, labour inspectorate or similar rolesExpertise in legal / regulatory / compliance and / or complaint resolution functions and environmentsKnowledge of the Employment Relations Act and its related regulations and codes (or an ability to gain such knowledge quickly)Proven leadership skills including demonstrated ability to establish, engage and motivate staffExperience in coaching, training and / or mentoring staffAbility to quickly establish and build strong working relationships with a wide range of people and excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.
