The Role : We're looking for an super-capable Barista and Deli Counter Service Specialist committed to delivering exceptional fast-paced service, a great experience and top quality coffee.
This role will suit a very upbeat, charismatic person looking for variety, a great team to work with and an exciting new role very much in the public eye.
The ideal candidate will have a flair for food and may have Chef / Cold Larder experience, though this is not essential as training will be given.
They will start the day bringing a smile to the early morning coffee lovers, move to prepping salads, condiments etc for the deli and as such must have demonstrable experience in a creative field, be passionate about vegan food and excited to promote our range of quality artisan vegan deli meats, nut cheeses and condiments.
And they will finish the day taking orders, filling them, answering questions and promoting our deli range alongside our dedicated team serving up delicious meals from our A la carte menu.
They will have experience working to a schedule, motivating themselves and producing quality results. An all-rounder with confidence running a busy section and proactively communicating with customers taking orders and fulfilling them, this person will have the independence, maturity, speed and motivation to focus on delivering an excellent experience the customer will be happy to remember.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about vegan food and excited to be promoting it in this fun way.ResponsibilitiesYou will manage operations within your area of responsibility and will be proactive in taking responsibility for maintaining standards / quality and production.
This front line role builds rapport with customers and requires maturity and professionalism - upholding the positive image of the Eatery and the work we do while striving to improve our service and help others in the team improve.
Liase with the kitchen and management regarding bookings, catering orders, new products, complaint resolution etcTrain and take part in training in kitchen techniques, production, health and safety, including the safe use of equipment etc as required.
Manage stock levels and ensure stock is ordered as required.Ensure all cleaning standards are maintained and areas are kept tidy and well organised.
From time to time taking on aspects of work (including covering staff absence) that fall outside the standard role in order to ensure the smooth functioning of this small business.
Key requirements for the role : A minimum of 2 years barista experience with demonstrable skill and knowledge.Have an optimistic, positive can-do manner, speed and maturity.
Experienced with Health & Safety standardsA high level of attention to detail and exceptional organisation skillsExcellent customer service skills and a passion for ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Ability to work well under pressure.Additional requirements : Must be able to work some flexible hours, including weekends.
Must be eligible to work in New Zealand for at least a year.This is a full-time position (30 to 40 hrs / week). Likely shifts initially start at 7am going through to 2 or 3pm, though some flexibility is essential.
