Clinical Quality Improvement & Risk Coordinator Permanent, 0.6 FTE The Quality Governance Risk and Compliance Department for Lakes DHB is looking for a passionate, knowledgeable current or previously registered health practitioner who understands women children, youth and families hospital and related services.

This is a core children's health worker position requiring an exceptional individual to support the Women Child & Youth (WCF) Service Level Team with regards to clinical quality improvement, incidents and complaints investigations and clinical risk management.

As a 'support and coordination' role, the successful candidate will provide the WCF- SLT and members of the Clinical Services Governance Group (CSGG) and Clinical Quality Governance Executive (CQGE) within Lakes DHB with competent and experienced capability for a range of 'listen, learn and improve' activities including :

  • Clinical complaints management and coordination advice,
  • HDC, ACC, Coroners & HQSC reports and recommendations / actions support
  • Validated improvement methodologies (e.g. use of PDSA, Model for Improvement)
  • Clinical risk management
  • Incident review methodologies
  • Relationship capability
  • Quality Improvement leadership and support capability
  • Report writing capability
