Social Workers, Permanent, Upper Hutt

We are now looking for Social Workers who are passionate about the care and protection of tamariki to help us succeed.

We are a team of 20, with a great site manager. We are passionate about protecting and advocating for the most at risk children and young people in our community, and creating change that results in positive outcomes through quality social work practice that holds children and young people at the centre of everything we do.

We are a fast paced workplace, where no two days are the same and you need the resilience to manage the changing environment in which we work.

To be successful in this position, you will need :

  • a qualification in social work recognised by the Social Work Registration Board
  • excellent written and oral communication skills
  • ability to meet Oranga Tamariki pre-employment criteria
  • flexibility to be on the after-hours duty roster
  • strong computer skills
  • full clean driver's licence without conditions
