Position Requirements : Accountabilities


Disassemble, inspect & report condition of customer supplied products (seals, pumps and rotating equipment).

Repair / recondition various components / parts.

Lap / inspect various components.

Assemble + test seal assemblies to specifications.

Assemble + test pumps and rotating equipment to specifications.

Achieve appropriate time frames for work

Comply with company OH&S procedures and policies.

Turning & machining of various components as required.

Fill in discrepancy reports as required.

Rework job if not within required tolerances.

Report any OH & S issues to your supervisor & / or resolve issues as soon as possible.

Ensure work is clocked on to where necessary.

Cleaning and repair of seal parts as required.

Prepare Damage Assessment Reports as required.

On-site installation or commissioning of Flowserve products when required.

Other duties as required by the Workshop Supervisor.

Be available to work a reasonable amount of overtime when required to complete work schedule

Position Description :

Pump Repair Technician / Fitter

Responsible for dismantling, inspection, reporting of customer supplied parts.

Repair / lapping of components.

Machining of components.

Self-inspection of components to comply with quality standards.

Assembly / testing of seals and pumps.

Packaging of repaired parts.

Work in accordance with occupational health & safety regulations.

Preferences :

Fitter and Turner Trade Certification.

Minimum 4 to 5 years’ experience as fitter / assembler in an Engineering workshop dealing with Pump repairs (experience with Seals highly desirable)

Good Communication skills

Capacity to interpret Engineering drawings.

Good Communication skills

Must be able to interpret technical drawings.

Good knowledge of tools and accessories.
