Working at Fisher & Paykel Appliances, you will feel empowered and will be able to take the work and make it your own. Our culture is driven by our four brand values : real, human, generous and curious.
As a team, we take a collaborative approach to design, we have a culture where our ideas are heard and we can see these ideas flourish.

We have an opportunity for an exceptional leader to lead the Reliability Team in our Auckland Product Development Centre, delivering to our goal and supporting our product strategies.
The Auckland Product Development Centre focuses on design and development of our Refrigeration and Laundry products. Within this, the Reliability Team is responsible for verifying products throughout their design and development, from the perspective of our customers' interests, including performance, reliability and usability.
The team you'll lead spend their days evaluating the reliability risks in our projects, facilitating FMEA, creating verification plans, performing tests and responding to their outcomes, to ensure the quality and reliability of our products.
As a team leader you'll provide vision and leadership to the strategic goals, prioritising application of the team's resources to achieve the most valuable development and application of their capabilities, consistently putting the customer at the centre of everything you do.
This role requires that, as well as leading the team, you'll also work directly on execution of reliability activities for some of our product development projects.
This is a key role in our business; to be successful here you must be passionate about developing a great team and delivering premium product to our customers.
You'll benefit from experience in a leadership role so you inherently understand both strengths and gaps in team members' abilities, developing individuals with regular, focussed coaching.
You lead by influence, you listen and understand challenges and then you lead others to successful outcomes. You'll also benefit from technical experience in reliability engineering and verification processes, within a product development environment.
You'll need to demonstrate that you are proactive, you have a hands-on approach and the ability to work and communicate effectively, both within a team and across an organisation.
You'll have gained relevant product development experience, and are likely to have a Degree in Engineering. You may also have gained experience, or completed further training or qualification, in Reliability Engineering.
