What you will doMaintain effective control of the entry and exit into Papakura Military Camp, carry out foot patrols, monitor surveillance & alarms and provide effective service to all internal personnel and external visitors.

We have two positions available working Monday to Friday either 7am to 3.30pm or 9.30am to 6.00pm, so please state your shift preference in your application.

These roles are for a 2 year fixed term period and will mainly monitor construction sites on the camp.What we needAn individual with prior security experience preferably in operational security, someone used to shift work and who has a good work ethic.

You will display sound judgement in all areas, communicate effectively with others including all visitors to camp, have strong observation skills and a good degree of physical fitness.

Technology plays a big part in what we do, so it's important that you are comfortable using computers and are familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite.

  • The minimum citizenship and residency criteria for security clearances to be granted by the NZ Defence Force are as follows : Higher level Security Clearancemost preferably a NZ citizen who has resided continuously in this country for the last 10 years, ORis a citizen of, and / or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last 10 years : either Australia, Canada, NZ, UK or the USA;
  • and has a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the NZSIS towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at a higher level.

    If you do not meet these minimum criteria, we will not be able to accept your application.
