Right now, we’relooking for a proven Leader to bring to life all of the recommendationsidentified as being the key outcomes of our comprehensive review of MHAservices within South Canterbury.

You will beinstrumental in ensuring these are fully integrated together with the prioritieswhich have been developed around strategic direction for Mental Health &Addiction Services nationally, (including Whakamaua : Māori Health Action Plan2020-2025).

In this criticalLeadership role, you will be responsible for managing significant change thisincludes being able to balance collaboration with the ability to make toughcalls when needed.

Therefore, having astrong basis of understanding and respect for clinical leadership, being ableto work alongside clinical leaders, but also to be able to challenge the statusquo is essential.

Health systemunderstanding (especially within MHA) will be a strong advantage.

You will besomeone with exceptionally strong project management skills, (who has proven successat overseeing / completing large scale projects in the past), be adept atfinancial management, can demonstrate past success with procurement of services,where this role will need to align service changes with budgets and reporting.

You’ll have theability to engage collaboratively and effectively with a wide range ofstakeholders that span the continuum of care provision across our District, andso you need to be able to quickly establish trust and credibility, while also

being outcomefocused, able to work to deliver key deliverables within agreed timeframes.
