    Our Commercial and Pricing Strategy unit was established as a separate unit to drive improved conservation outcomes and to address the need to drive greater revenue from those who benefit from the use of conservation assets.

    He angitūtanga About the Role

    As an analyst in our team, you will play a pivotal role in providing analytical support to the Commercial and Pricing Strategy unit and beyond.

    You will ensure projects are well defined, scoped appropriately and implemented consistently. You will be working with and interpreting multiple streams of internal and external data sources, both quantitative and qualitative, and policy, to draw out common themes and insights.

    Supporting and working with stakeholders across the business, you'll work to ensure that you translate information into insight and convey information in a variety of formats to meet the needs of different audiences, and in a way that can inform strategy and decision-making.

    These are fixed term 6-month roles to ensure the successful delivery of the FY22 Business Plan.

    Your strong communication skills will allow you to adapt the presentation of your information to ensure its suitability for your target audience.

    We are looking for agile and curious thinkers who can understand and apply new information.

    If you are keen to apply, please ensure you highlight within your cover letter how you feel you meet and / or align with the following requirements :

  • Strong conceptual, analytical, communication and presentation skills;
  • Strong ability to work with quantitative data and software packages (e.g. Excel, R);
  • Proven ability to lead project work within a multi-disciplinary team;
  • A good understanding of pricing and the ability to apply commercial thinking to a public sector environment.
  • Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its connection to today's society;
  • Strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships;
  • Relevant work experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis highly desirable.
