About the role

Do you have a passion for technology and thrive on challenges? We're looking for a talented senior 0365 Administrator to join our dynamic team at the NZ Police

Information and Communications Technology Service Centre, specialising in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Administrator centres that provide the Microsoft 365 capability and Environment and our transition to Cloud Technology

Key Accountabilities :

  • This role is responsible for developing our initial O365 capabilities, providing technical and functional direction and 2nd / 3rd level support for- Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for business and Azure Active Directory for NZ Police.
  • The environment being maintained covers the day to day management of these Microsoft services for NZ Police, to ensure service integrity, reliability and performance at optimal efficiency.

    The Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory and SharePoint Administration centres provides the Microsoft 365 capability that supports operational policing and is a core service for the entire organisation.

  • Technical lead for implementations providing governance and managing risks and issues
  • This role is responsible for maintaining and growing our relationship with our Stakeholders and ensuring Police frontline staff are able to go about their day to day business with no or minimal disruption.

  • You should bring an analytical mind, capable of assessing the unique risks cloud technologies present to the NZ Police, and be able to translate this into suitable configuration utilising conditional access, data loss prevention, and other capabilities provided by the O365 ecosystem.
  • As an organisation employing in excess of 12,000 staff, an understanding of licensing models and options within Microsoft Cloud would be valuable in aiding cost management capabilities.
  • Extensive experience in Microsoft Cloud Technologies
  • Demonstrates several years' experience in this field.
  • Qualifications required :

  • Bachelor of Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related IT degree
  • 3+ Years’ experience as a senior Microsoft 365 Admin
  • This role is set at Individual Contributor level, this means your key purpose is to deliver or enable others to deliver Our Business .
