We are looking for Dairy Assistants and fixed-term Calf Rearers who are passionate about giving their best and being well-rewarded for it.
Pāmu offers various rosters (such as 6 / 2, 6 / 3, 5 / 2, etc.) so you can have a good work-life balance. You’ll take pride in your herd and will keep them healthy, happy and productive.
Working outside as part of a team, you’ll learn about animal welfare, perform general farm maintenance duties, bring the cows in for milking, and shift cows and young stock.

We farm in all seasons, hot, dry, windy, rainy you’ll be adaptable and not afraid of a little bad weather. If you're interested in a fixed-term Calf Rearing role, we'd love for you to have experience, but we're also happy to train you.
The biggest thing you need is empathy, patience, and an affinity for calves. If you’re looking to change careers but you’ve never worked with animals before, don’t worry! We have DAs who were afraid of large animals before working with us.
If you are self-motivated and willing to learn, our farm staff are happy to train people who are ready to get stuck in.Pāmu has farms from the top of the north to the bottom of the south and we anticipate that roles will be available all throughout New Zealand.
You’ll be able to tell us where in the country you want to live and whether you can relocate when you apply. Key Skills / Educational Requirements We’re looking for experienced Dairy Assistants who are motivated to develop their skills and will be willing to share knowledge with others.
We’ll also consider people looking to change careers. Our successful career changers have been house movers, chefs, retail workers, people managers, metal fabricators, miners, computer technicians you name it, we’ve got em.
