Your role will be to plan, manage and deliver traffic management in order to achieve the project goals in terms of Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality and Financial performance.

The project

The Hamilton Section Waikato Expressway project is being delivered by the City Edge Alliance comprising NZTA, Fletcher, Beca, Higgins and Coffey.

It is a road of national significance and commences at Lake Road junction with Ngaruawahia section in the north. It then runs south, to the east of Hamilton connecting to the existing Tamahere interchange deviation just south of Hillcrest.

The Hamilton section will be 21.8 kilometres of a 4-lane expressway with 17 bridge sites and four interchanges. It will reduce traffic congestion and improve safety on Hamilton’s local road network by significantly reducing through traffic.

As an experienced Traffic Manager, you will have significant relevant experience in the design and execution of traffic management activities on all levels of road.

You will have excellent skills in communication, planning, organisation, operational management, supplier and quality management and financial control.

We work closely with NZTA to deliver the requirements of the Bay of Plenty East Network Outcomes Contract (NOC) which covers 570km of the State Highway roading network across Rotorua, Whakatane, Opotiki and Kawerau districts.
