Golder has a new opportunity for a Senior Air Quality Consultant to join our successful air quality services group that form a key component of our Christchurch based integrated environmental services team.
We are looking for a recognised expert in the air quality field with exceptional skills and experience that would help drive the development and growth of air quality services we provide internal and external clients in varied sectors (regulatory, manufacturing, infrastructure, waste, mining and land development sectors).
Key duties and responsibilities include :
Permitting and preparation of fit-for-purpose EIAs
Emissions and ambient monitoring
Community surveys for dust and odour
Air, dust and odour management plans and strategies
Work place exposure and health risk
Regulatory and community liaison / consultation
Providing technical and professional mentoring to air quality staff that reinforces their career development and while ensuring there is a positive work environment that upholds Golder’s core values
Promoting our strong health, safety, security and environment culture within Golder
Developing relationships and expanding opportunities for Golder to provide air quality and wider environmental services to key clients within in the manufacturing, infrastructure, waste, mining and land development sectors
Managing teams and / or operating as an effective member within project teams that undertake complex air quality and / or environmental assessments and associated statutory approvals for key external clients
Leading discussions on behalf of the client with Regulatory Authorities and for stakeholder engagement
Providing expert evidence to tribunals and panels in relation to air quality matters.
Skills, Qualification and Experience
Must hold tertiary qualifications, or higher in Science or Engineering and have experience working in a consulting environment
You will be motivated, driven, client centric and be keen to work within a high performing multi-disciplinary team

You communicate effectively, have excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative working approach.
