We are looking for Agile and DevOps consultants, to join the Datacom Agile & DevOps Advisory practice. Successful applicants will play a crucial role in leading some of NZ's largest enterprises through their transformation journey, working from client’s sites and our offices in Wynyard Quarter, Auckland.
As an Agile and / or DevOps Consultant, you will be working closely with clients and Datacom staff, combining consulting frameworks with your technical expertise to assess, recommend and implement their Agile and DevOps strategy for success.
Key responsibilities :
Assessing software and operations teams against our Agile / DevOps maturity matrices and providing recommendations for improvement
Communicating the value of Agile / DevOps to stakeholders (IT and business)
Coaching teams and organisations from a technical and theoretical perspective
Hosting / facilitating Agile / DevOps training programs
Promoting and evangelising the benefits of Agile / DevOps via presentations, hosting events and social media
Able to clearly articulate the value of DevOps beyond the scope of automation (if applying for a DevOps Consultant role)
Able to define Agile beyond the scope of a development team, but as a transformation (if applying for an Agile Consultant role)
Provide a structured approach to adopting Agile / DevOps
About you :
A strong understanding of Agile / DevOps culture, people, process and tools
A successful track-record of improving software delivery practices
Hands-on experience in the following required (if applying for a DevOps Consultant role) : CI / CD implementations Telemetry and monitoring Shifting quality left
Soft skills to lead and work with key stakeholders, project sponsors and development teams
Demonstrable experience in designing and implementing organisational change across development teams
An ability to understand and focus on business outcomes
An excellent communicator who is able to increase efficiency via effective collaboration across functional borders
