About the role
The Solution Architect is a delivery role within the 3DHB ICT department and reports to the Manager Solution Architects.
The purpose of this role is to provide the design and communication of integrated solutions that meet current and future business needs.
In addition to technology components, solution architecture encompasses changes to service, process, organisation, and operating models.
The solutions must take into account relevant enterprise architectures, strategies, policies, standards and practices (including security).
The Solution Architect will contribute to the development of ICT strategies, enterprise architecture, and technology roadmaps as well as also support the development of business cases.
The Solution Architect is expected to engage with business owners and stakeholders across the Wellington regional DHBs to design solutions that can be implemented across the three regional DHBs.
Engagement with the Ministry of Health and other DHBs across New Zealand is critical to realise a common set of national ICT solutions and interoperability standards..
Specific responsibilities include :
Contribute or lead impact assessments for proposed investments.
Lead and deliver the solution design and technical design of ICT projects.
Adherence of Architecture Governance standards and principles across all solutions within the DHB or regional
Engage with business representatives to ensure ICT solutions will deliver on their strategies and KPIs.
Contribute to business case development around ICT aspects of the solution including options analysis
Skills and experience
The successful candidate will have a minimum of ten years’ experience in the IT industry, with at least five years in systems analysis, specifications and design.
