Environmental Team Coordinator Transpower connects New Zealanders to their power system through safe smart solutions for today and tomorrow Sitting at the centre of the New Zealand electricity industry we are responsible for planning building operating and maintaining the National Grid the high voltage backbone that transmits electricity around the country 24 hours a day seven days a week About the team Our Environmental Policy and Planning Group EPPG is responsible for the following Ensuring that all environmental approval are obtained for maintenance upgrade and development work on New Zealand s National Grid network Ensuring internal staff consultants and service providers are aware of and able to meet their environmental obligations Internal external Stakeholder engagement with Councils iwi developers and customers Delivering Transpower s policy approach on environmental regulations legislation and council planning documents About the opportunity We have a permanent opportunity for an experienced Team Coordinator preferably with an Environmental Management degree or similar to join the EPPG in Wellington As our Environmental Team Coordinator you ll maintain our consent and compliance database and become a subject matter expert as we launch a new online digital platform to manage the receipt of and response to development proposals near National Grid assets a workstream we call Corridor Land Use Management You ll interact with a diverse range of people from internal customers to service providers contractors regulatory authorities and the public to provide assistance in a timely and clear manner As our Coordinator you will carry out the following Manage and maintain the consents and compliance information management tool ENVi to ensure that our tracking reporting and regulatory compliance obligations are achieved Administer the Corridor Land Use Management system and respond to development queries from third parties Provide comprehensive Corridor Land Use Management system and ENVi training and support to new users Set up and maintain dashboard reporting Maintain EPPG document management systems SharePoint Enviro Wiki and update environmental content on Transpower s Intranet and external website Provide travel administration and contract management system support to the Environment team What attributes are we looking for Teamwork and strong collaboration skills Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills Drive and initiative to keep processes moving at pace Good time management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure General administration skills Curiosity to identify opportunities for process improvement NB as our Corridor Land Use Management and ENVi super user you will be required to travel occasionally to provide systems training To be considered your CV and covering letter will highlight the following requirements Experience in providing support to a team Experience with databases and systems preferably Microsoft Dynamics or similar CRM product and with analytical and reporting tools such as Excel Proven ability in producing clear user friendly documentation and reports Ability to communicate clearly at all levels without the technical jargon A relevant tertiary qualification Why work for Transpower We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity We recognise our most valuable asset is our people and we are dedicated to encouraging learning and innovation That s why when you join Transpower you ll be eligible for a range of employee benefits and we will encourage your on the job learning and development Next steps To join us and be part of a team who are doing great things for New Zealand please view the position description below or on our website and apply without delay Role closes Sunday 15 September 2019 Applications will be reviewed as they are received To apply for this job please click apply now or go to our job site and enter the job code 18369SK
