Who are we looking for
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, proactive individual to join our Democracy Team. We need someone who has an eye for detail and can apply political nous in providing timely, accurate advice to our customers.
You will be able to prioritise effectively to meet multiple deadlines and work collaboratively and flexibly with colleagues, elected members and the public to meet our team objectives.
You'll be keen to constructively contribute to change as we look to improve how we deliver services to, and for, the organisation.
Experienced in preparing and understanding formal protocols for meetings (e.g. Standing Orders), you'll have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and you will be organised and confident
As part of our small, but dynamic team, you'll be the lead advisor for a number of our Council committees and community boards, as well as working on key governance projects such as conflicts of interest, delegations and elections.
An ability to research and advise on key legislation will be an advantage!
