Hauora Aotearoa Health New Zealand (HNZ) and Te Mana Hauora Māori Maori Health Authority have been created to achieve a vision of Pae Ora, healthy futures for all New Zealanders.

All of the above is in vain if we don’t get the HR side of things right, which is where you come in. We need you to join our newly formed team and use your exceptional HR advisory and people management skills to help us build a great HR function, providing a first point of contact for employees with any queries around HR matters.
You’ll be leading a team of HR Advisors who will be the first voice of HR for many of our people. You’ll need a pragmatic and flexible approach as this is very early days, and we’re still finding our feet when it comes to how everything fits together.
The best part though, is that you get to be a part of shaping the future and be in at the start of the biggest thing that’s happened in health in New Zealand in a long time.
We’d expect you to be able to bring a the following to the table to help us make this happen :
Tertiary qualification in HR, or a relevant field and / or equivalent experience in a HR Advisory / Payroll / Recruitment setting
Knowledge and understanding of relevant NZ legislation and its application in a large, complex organisation
Cultural competence and the ability to engage effectively with Māori
Demonstrated experience working with a wide variety of HR and Payroll issues
Demonstrated ability to lead people and build a strong cohesive team
Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and identify their needs quickly and effectively
A continuous improvement mindset to develop process-driven solutions
Effective organization, prioritization, and completion of processes
A methodical and balanced in approach to work
