Your Role :
Reporting to the Zero Harm Lead the Zero Harm Investigator supports the wider team and operational leaders through :
Participating in the development of incident investigation strategy, procedures, tools and training packages.
Conducting high level incident investigations (i.e. significant incident or near miss events, incidents involving regulator interest).
Monitoring and reviewing incident investigations for quality, appropriate evidence management, corrective action selection and effectiveness.
Critical to your success will be :
Experience working in the rail industry.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to analyse data, prepare and review complex reports.
Conversant with KiwiRail SHE risk management practices and principles.
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder / relationship management skills including the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
Advanced computer application skills.
Passion for safety and wellbeing.
The ability to make health and safety real and personal to others
Additionally, you will also have the ability to form strong, constructive relationships at all levels is vital in this role.
You will have demonstrated a sense of urgency and good judgement in your previous roles.
