Dunedin City has embarked on a number of transformational projects and transport is at the centre of this change. There are exciting times ahead for transport in Dunedin with the relocation of the city's central Hospital, implementation of our Central City Plan, new safety and speed initiatives, and an increasing focus on travel demand management, public transport, and micro-mobility.
We are looking for a suitably qualified person who can deliver practical solutions to solve real world challenges. We are offering you a unique and exciting opportunity to grow your career as part of a Transport Group committed to delivering Dunedin's future transport needs.
Strategic thinking, leading transport projects, and providing traffic engineering and road safety advice will be key components of your role.
You will have worked with Waka Kotahi and understand its processes, have excellent communication skills and be experienced at relationship building and providing professional advice to project teams.
You will be part of a small team that allows you to use your experience to evolve your role and develop any specialist interest areas you may have such as traffic modelling, working with vulnerable user groups or developing our SMART city.
