MHSOA provides assessment, treatment and support to service users who have :

  • psychiatric complications of a physical illness associated with ageing
  • This team reports to the division of Specialty Medicine & Health of Older People but maintains strong professional links to the Mental Health Services Group.

We are looking for a motivated, registered nurse to join our cohesive MHSOA Community Team, which comprises an urban team covering the North Shore and a rural team covering the Rodney District.

The team is multidisciplinary, our approach is collaborative and our population is culturally diverse.

This position would suit a mental health nurse with the experience and skills to work with older people, often with complex needs, and provides the opportunity to increase and enhance clinical skills within an established and supportive work environment.

A current practising certificate and full, clean drivers licence are essential requirements for this position; ideally, the successful applicant will also have 2 years post-qualification experience in mental health.

The post is based at our Karaka Street office, Takapuna.
