We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Nurse Specialists to be a part of the Community Ostomy Service (Community and Palliative Care) at Waitemata DHB.
Facets of the role include in-depth patient assessments, care planning, prescribing of consumables and formal and informal education and participation in quality programs.
The successful candidate will provide high-level clinical expertise in all areas of stoma management.
The ideal candidate will be a Nurse Specialist in ostomy or a Level 4 Registered Nurse with a current portfolio, and a minimum of three years' district nursing experience including contemporary current practice in the management of stoma care.
As you will be relating to patients and staff at all levels, you will need to have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
You will be able to quickly establish relationships across multiple teams role modelling Waitemata DHB’s organisational values.
