About the role

We are looking for a full-time Academic Staff Member to join our Learning Delivery Directorate to facilitate learning on the New Zealand Diploma in Funeral Directing (Level 5).

All courses are delivered online. This role reports to a Programme Delivery Manager.

Ideally, you have worked in the funeral directing industry and have skills and experience in tertiary education and online distance delivery.

  • The ideal candidate will have;
  • Well-developed planning and organisational skills with the ability to work autonomously
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly establish rapport and manage relationships
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in the use of educational technologies to facilitate online learning
  • High level of judgement, flexibility, self-motivation and responsiveness

    You will ideally have, or a willingness to achieve :

  • A funeral directing diploma at Level 5
  • Tertiary teaching experience
  • Obtained or working towards the New Zealand Certificate in Literacy and Numeracy Education (Level 5), and / or the New Zealand Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching (Level 5), or equivalent.
