The University of Waikato Adams Centre for High Performance is the epicentre of cutting edge sports science, research and technology which has put Tauranga on the map as a centre of excellence for high-performance sport.
We are home to the NZ Rugby Sevens, Bay of Plenty Steamers and a satellite base for UoWs sports science and human performance department.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Strength and Conditioning Coach to continue growing the success of the Adams Academy - a programme designed to support our local high-performance athletes and those with high-performance aspirations and potential.
You will be assisting with the growth and management of all aspects of the Adams Academy programme as well as representing the UoW Adams Centre on a local, regional and national scale from a Strength and Conditioning perspective.
You will have the opportunity to rub shoulders with athlete development personnel from both national and regional sporting organizations and be part of the high-performance environment at the Centre which is focused on innovation and knowledge sharing.
This part-time role offers 25 hours a week and would suit a qualified Strength and Conditioning coach with experience in successfully leading and implementing programmes for emerging high-performance athletes.
Candidates will need to be skilled in developing strong relationships and have the ability to relate to people at all levels, in particular senior management, athlete development personnel and other high-performance staff.
