About the rolesWe are looking for an outstanding Speech Language Therapist (SLT) (or more than one) with leadership capability to take on the Clinical Lead and / or Professional Leader roles at Auckland DHB.

5 FTE or up to 0.9 FTE for the Clinical Lead role only) will provide both clinical and operational leadership to the adult inpatient Speech-language Therapy service.
In this role you will work closely with your team of 11.2 FTE SLTs to cover all adult inpatient services at Auckland City Hospital.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your operational and leadership skills whilst also holding a clinical role. Reporting to the Service Clinical Director, Allied Health services, this is a highly collaborative role that is well supported by the Director, the Clinical Lead team, and the Professional Leader.
You will be a valued member of the Allied Health leadership team and encouraged and supported to develop your potential, including your leadership and management skills.

In this role you will report to the Chief Health Professions Officer and work closely with senior clinicians and operational managers to provide professional leadership to SLTs across Auckland DHB.
You will provide assurance of clinical safety across both inpatient and community settings and work in partnership with operational managers to deliver on workforce priorities.
You will ensure SLT services across Auckland DHB are aligned with the strategic aims of Auckland DHB and are well placed to deliver high quality, safe & effective Speech-language Therapy care.
