What You Will Do

The role of the Archives Cataloguer (Photographic Services Collection) is to arrange and describe the Photographic Services Collection in UC Archive's archives management system to enable its discovery and use in time for the UC150 celebrations in 2023.

Mōu Who You Are

You have experience in appraisals of archival collections and in handling fragile materials. You have knowledge of archival description standards, knowledge of different photographic formats and familiarity with archival management systems.

You will have an ability to work accurately to agreed standards and timescales to maintain high-quality metadata, to work independently and as part of a team.

Ideally you have knowledge of University of Canterbury history and / or local Christchurch history.

You will work with a committed library team who care about making a difference for student and staff learning, teaching and research.

The Macmillan Brown team treasures, protects and facilitates access, as appropriate, to our unique collections now and in the future.

The Library management team works collaboratively to provide direction and leadership for UC Library consistent with the UC strategy, vision, and values.
