An exciting opportunity has become available for a self-starter within the Tamaki Makaurau / Auckland Mainland team. This full-time, permanent position will lead, guide, support and enable others to help Papatūānuku thrive.

We need someone who understands our role as a collaborator, regulator, advocate, storyteller and above all a Treaty partner.

He angitūtanga : About the RoleThe role is based in the heart of New Zealand's biggest city rubbing shoulders with Aotearoa's conservation leaders.

As our next Senior Ranger community you will be advising the Operations Manager to plan plan the community conservation work for DOC in Auckland.

You will create the vision and work to see it through to completion alongside your colleagues, Treaty Partners and stakeholders.

He kōrero mōu : What we are looking forTo be successful in this role you'll need to bring people together, collaborate, prepare effective plans and be accountable for ensuring the plan can be delivered and reported on.

You'll be effective, efficient, decisive and have excellent project management skills.DesiredSkilled in translating strategy and national plans into operational plansProject and budget management experienceAble to support aspirations of iwi in a Treaty partnership context engage effectively in Māori settings, willing to learn karakia, pepeha and local tikangaExperience in working with community groups, public and private sector entitiesHighly collaborative orientation and personal style with negotiating and influencing skillsCurrent full New Zealand driving licenceNgā āhuatanga kei a mātou : What's in it for you?
