Senior Project Adviser - Māori Policy Unit

    The Senior Project Adviser works with project leads and other key stakeholders to integrate and embed the work being developed through the various MES work streams.

  • This will include supporting activities to promote engagement uplift across the Ministry; working with project leads in the production of compelling communication products which lift the visibility of the;
  • identifying and promoting opportunities to reinforce the MES narrative in the work of the Ministry; and coordinating with the project implementation manager and project leads, the production of an overall communication plan for the MES.

  • You'll have a communications design / project management background?
  • You have strong writing skills, able to write a variety of correspondence for different audiences, at pace and to high standards
  • You're able to build, maintain and leverage relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, and help lead the organisation through its journey
  • You know how to involve others and seek advice at the right points
  • You're a great organiser, agile when needed and able to prioritise your work
  • You understand and know how to apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in a policy setting, and strong understanding of te reo me ona tikanga Māori would be an advantage
