On any given day, you will face a wide range of topics, engaging on diverse projects whilst interacting with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
We are looking for an exceptional Advisor to work closely with and provide support to the department’s General Manager and the Democracy Services team.
You will play a crucial role for the successful functioning of the department's leadership team as the advisor and have a strategic understanding of Democracy Services’ functions and priorities.
The role identifies best practice in governance and encourages shared learning across the department. You will provide support to the General Manager in her day to day business with a focus on the management of elected member issues, comprehensive administrative support and key stakeholder engagement but also to advise on the department's key priorities, performance and deliverables.
You will be providing high quality advice alongside the principal advisors to help elected and appointed members make good decisions for Auckland.
He kōrero mōu : About youYour organisational and multi-tasking skills coupled with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation will allow you to excel within this role.
Your ability to take a flexible approach will be essential as we are in an ever-evolving environment. Integrity and experience in handling sensitive and confidential information, supported by an understanding of the political environment are also critical to this role.
You will demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to deliver to the highest of standards.
This role requires someone systems savvy with previous experience with MS Office. Knowledge of council systems will be advantageous.
