What you will do
The data technician will be part of the Data and Data Analytics Team, which is responsible for providing GEOINT data for operational support as requested, maintaining & implementing GEOINT data services across the NZDF enterprise network, as well as developing and promoting a data analytic capability.
This role involves collating, verifying, manipulating and administering geospatial and imagery datasets and ensuring the data is available to GNZ, NZDF, other NZ government agencies and international partners.
What we need
We are seeking a person with some practical experience in GIS / Data Management discipline, who is able to assess and interpret geospatial data as well as managing their discoverability.
However, you may also be a recent graduate in Geospatial Sciences or equivalent discipline looking to start your career.

This role offers you the opportunity to support Defence operations and to work across all of government. Regular domestic travel is a pre requisite of this job.
