Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role

We are searching for our next Safety and Wellbeing superstar! This is a casual position of between 15 to 20 hours per week which can be worked around study commitments.

You will have exposure to a range of tasks that sit within our Health, Safety and Wellbeing Directorate of MPI and include :

  • Managing incidents (creating / updating / closing) in our incident management system.
  • Updating our records and reporting using excel
  • Answering first stage queries from managers and employees via phone and email and pointing them in the right direction
  • Attending weekly team meetings which provides a fantastic learning experience
  • Mōu - About You

    You will be curious and ask lots of questions this is a great learning experience for someone studying health and safety, human resources, business management or behavioural sciences to gain industry experience in the government sector!

    We look for team members who can offer :

  • An expert understanding of how to use Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Are comfortable working with people & have some relevant experience such as customer service or hospitality
  • Be available for 15-20 hours every week
  • Be a team player, a great communicator and enjoy a strong supportive environment
  • Be able to follow instructions and problem solve
