Position Summary :

You will be producing animal sera for global clients, producing high value product in demand globally. This is done in a large, purpose built, modern and temperature-controlled production environment in the biotech industry.

The role is an active, on your feet role requiring good attention to detail, observation and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and understanding of cGMP principles (current Good Manufacturing Practices).

You will positively contribute to a great team environment, being able to communicate effectively whether working as a team or completing tasks alone.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Be trained over a period of time in a number of serum processes, taking full responsibility of the task when confident and working as a team to get all manufacturing tasks done every single day.
  • Record manufacturing processes in real time and accurately, in batch manufacturing records
  • Perform all work using the appropriate SOP, batch sheet,
  • Ensure plant hygiene and housekeeping is always maintained.
  • Report to the Team Leader / Production Supervisor any production related problems.
  • Update SOP’s, batch sheets and Hazard ID’s as required.
  • Frequent Contacts : Internal

  • Liaise with Quality.
  • Minimum Requirements / Qualifications :

    Qualifications & Experience

  • Academic qualifications Minimum NCEA Level Two, or Sixth Form Certificate, with some Science and Mathematics related subjects, or a tertiary qualification preferably in Science.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or laboratory environment is preferred.
  • Experience with ISO qualified manufacturing or cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices).
