Reporting to the Field Services Manager within Northpower's Wellington Contracting business, the primary purpose of this role is to oversee the Outage Planning and Maintenance team to ensure they meet their monthly KRA targets as set out in the Field Services Agreement Contract within the Planned Maintenance / Corrective Maintenance space.
The Maintenance Supervisor will support the Maintenance team to focus on both HV outage management and LV defects management in the planned and corrective field.
The role will proactively analyze and assess the progress of the yearly maintenance plan, assist the FSA Manager with the planning of resources for the finalization of the annual maintenance plan, monitor the financial margins on the planned jobs and assign the ad hoc corrective maintenance tasks based on an objective workload assessment of the team.
Additionally, the Maintenance Supervisor will ensure that the proposed switching plans are approved by communicating with the Client (Wellington Electricity) to achieve the best outcome for network reliability.
Field visits will be required and the associated work type competencies will need to be achieved and maintained.
To secure this role you'll need to be an accomplished Manager with an aptitude for making good decisions in a high volume, fast paced work environment.
You'll also need strong planning, financial & analytical skills together with exemplary people management & communication skills.
Excellent report writing skills are needed as is the ability to operate with confidence and professionalism when interacting regularly and providing feedback (including face to face) to the client on Planned Maintenance as well as updating on Corrective and Defects Management progress.
Qualifications in Electrical Engineering and / or Business are preferred as is previous New Zealand work experience gained in other large electricity supply contracting businesses.
