The primary purpose of

the Chef de Partie is to support the Head Chef and / or Sous Chef and be part of the team. You are a leader, trainer and mentor to Junior Chefs and Kitchen Hands.

A Chef de Partie is a developmental role with the aim to expand on already strong cookery skills, as well as management skills, so as to one day run the kitchen

Requirements for the role :

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a commercial kitchen
  • Team leadership skills, striving for excellence in everything that you do
  • Work in line with the venue and Kāpura’s expectations
  • Bring a positive attitude and create and control an upbeat culture within the team
  • Excellent communication and listening skills for your team and customers
  • Ensure all operational processes and procedures are adhered to
  • Ensure FOH and BOH cohesion at all times
  • Identify potential service issues and act accordingly to avoid them
  • Handle complaints with empathy and ensure a more than satisfactory outcome for our customers
  • A passion and creative flare for Asian Fusion!
