Our services are essential to the people in our region and include infrastructure development, community recreational facilities and planning, building and other regulatory services.

The Role

The purpose of the role is to support the delivery of projects, initiatives and actions within the QLDC Climate Action Plan.

The role will involve project coordination and stakeholder management to effectively deliver transitional change within the organisation, community and across the district.

The role will be integral to ensuring that the district meets its vision of net zero emissions by 2050 and becomes resilient to the local impact of climate change across the whole district.

  • The successful candidate will hold;
  • Degree level education
  • 3 years’ experience in a project coordination role
  • Experience in sustainability or climate action related activity.
  • Proven track record of managing / contributing to successful projects.
  • Experience in working with community groups, social service agencies, government agencies and stakeholder partners.
  • Have a high level of attention to detail and a keen eye for process improvement opportunities.
  • Strong community connections
  • Comfortable working with complexity and uncertainty.
  • Strong relationship management, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to administer systems and processes effectively.
