Our Waste Operations team, based at the Southern Landfill, takes on responsibility for achieving Wellington City Council's outcomes regarding solid waste.
We're looking for a Waste Operations Engineer to do the following :
You'll also be providing advice and expertise around our 34 closed landfills, and how we manage and monitor those, as well as advising on our other Waste Minimisation Projects.
We're looking for someone with a passion for the industry - we're in a pivotal moment in our waste management journey, and this role will play a key component in our success.
You'll have proven project, contract and asset management experience, as well as engineering experience specific to this role.
Ideally, you'll have used GIS software previously too. You will be a confident communicator and adept at identifying problems and developing solutions.
Experience preparing budgets is a plus.
Due to the location of the landfill, a current driver's licence is a must.
