Our growing Transport team is in demand. We are looking for Transportation Planners at Senior + Principal levels to help drive this increasingly successful part of our business forward.

These roles are available in Auckland and Wellington.

The Role

Joining this team, you will be planning multiple projects in a buoyant transport and infrastructure market across both NZ, Australia and Asia Pacific.

The work is technically challenging, varied and could see you leading challenging transport / land use planning studies as well as shaping energetic Alliance and design build projects.

To be successful in the position you will be a highly motivated self-starter. You will have a proven track record for delivery on projects, being a technical specialist in your own right and have the client relationships to develop and maintain continued opportunities in the industry.

It is expected that you will have :

  • New Zealand experience
  • A passion for Transport Planning
  • Proven background in technical delivery of transportation planning and engineering projects
  • Strong experience and track record in the integration of urban design, land use and transport
  • Multi-modal planning, with public transport planning and infrastructure experience
  • Transport business case expertise and experience
  • Trusted advisor client relationships
  • Collaborative approach to working with clients and stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team and project leadership, build professional working relationships and provide technical and peer support and mentoring
  • A commercial mindset and ability to create and win work
  • A relevant tertiary qualification
  • Member of Professional Institute
  • This opportunity will allow you to :

  • Lead, take ownership of and deliver projects with a high level of responsibility
  • Provide strategic consulting advice, and shape regionally and nationally significant transport projects
  • Broaden your experience, working with a variety of other disciplines
  • Realise your potential through exposure to nationally significant projects that require innovation and the ability to think outside the square
  • Help grow the Transport planning business and capability within T+T
  • Provide specialist inputs to expressions of interest and proposals
  • Mentor and coach staff
  • Qualifications

    To be successful in the role, you will need :

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Be a chartered professional engineer or equivalent
  • At least seven years transport planning experience for Senior, 15 years Principal level
  • Relevant project management experience
