Account Director (Channel) New Zealand

The Channel, Account Director is responsible for building pipeline and driving sales via Genesys’ Partner ecosystem in New Zealand.

This is an exciting opportunity to scale our business in the NZ market, and as such, requires someone who can develop and execute a winning go-to-market strategy by leveraging their extensive sales background.

What You’ll Do :

This role is highly visible role, with a focus on sales execution and growth via the Partner community in New Zealand, with a view to achieving two mandatory outcomes :

  • Grow Genesys’ indirect business by driving growth with existing partners and by constantly assessing opportunities to build a broader Partner ecosystem in NZ.
  • In conjunction with ANZ Channel Director, build Genesys’ Indirect sales strategy in New Zealand as part of the overall ANZ go-to-market (GTM).
  • In this role, the primary responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) :

  • Scale Genesys Cloud sales in New Zealand
  • Drive sales in NZ by ensuring Partner sales teams and Genesys’ sales teams are fully engaged and enabled
  • Align Genesys sales teams and Partner sales teams around prospect accounts
  • Work with Genesys solution consulting (SC) and business consulting (BC) team on enablement across all the key indirect functions (Sales, Pre-sales, Services and Support).
  • Establish a Genesys Cloud execution plan with focus Partners and execute via a structured channel cadence, including regular Governance.
  • Ensure Partners are driving Genesys Cloud adoption
  • Understand Partner economics in a SaaS environment and articulate the benefits of participating in the Genesys Partner Program
  • Ad-hoc duties as required by your manager
  • What do you need to have

  • 10+ years of relevant sales experience within a software / solutions environment.
  • Experience managing an indirect channel ecosystem and familiarity with Cloud GTM.
  • Inquisitive and persistent : always looking for a new way to do things. Asking the tough questions, question the status quo expertise to see the big picture .
  • Familiarity with the CX business
  • Strong organizational skills and attention-to-detail with the ability to set clear priorities in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
  • Comfortable working within C-suite
  • Self-starter and able to work independently, as well as collaborate for the benefit of the team
  • Able to travel as needed.
