  • COVID-19 is the most significant public health issue of our time, and affects all aspects of our health services. As a Management Assistant - ECC at Southern District Health Board, you’ll support the efficient day-to-day functions of our Emergency Coordination Centre.

    About the Team

    You’ll be working to support our Emergency Coordination Centre (ECC) providing administrative support to our leaders as we navigate the COVID-19 response.

    Reporting to the ECC Controller, you will be working in a diverse team of clinicians and management to support our health system response

    About the Role

    As a Management Assistant - ECC, you will be responsible for providing administrative support within the Emergency Coordination Centre.

    The position is 40 hours a week Monday-Friday between the hours of 08 : 00-17 : 00. However, due to the constant evolution of the situation, you may be asked to work evenings and weekends in the future.

    Part time applications will also be considered.

    The main focus areas of your role will be (but are not limited to) :

  • Roster development
  • ECC meeting coordination
  • Minute Taking
  • Action monitoring and reporting
  • Maintenance of administrative supplies
  • Administrative support for ECC directors
  • About You

    We are looking for a positive, pro-active and motivated individual to step into this crucial role. You will ideally bring the following skills and experience with you :

  • Excellent administrative experience
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively build relationships with people at all levels across the organisation
  • Flexibility to cope with fluctuating work demands
  • Computer literate and advanced knowledge of MS Office
