Senior Environmental Scientist (Auckland)
Te kāinga rua The opportunity Leverage your background as a consultant or specialist working in New Zealand’s regulatory environment to support significant three waters infrastructure, industrial and community related projects.
You will be part of a tight knit team of trusted advisors, scientists and environmental specialists, committed to helping shape and meeting environmental objectives for clients such as Watercare, Auckland Council, NZ Defence Force, Auckland Transport, Waka Kotahi, local and regional authorities, and leading industrial food, manufacturing and primary industry parties.
As a senior member of our Auckland environmental team you will lead projects across the region, the upper North Island and across New Zealand.
You will be building credible client relationships, contributing to business development, leading environmental assessments, reporting, project management as well as supervising junior team members to support their professional development.
You will be passionate about project delivery, providing consulting advice, and supporting the preparation of technical assessments.

In this role you will be part of a team of experts, working closely with the other technical disciplines within our Community Shaping business including sustainability consultants, ecologists, landscape architects, urban designers, transport specialists and planners.

You will have excellent technical skills in a broad range of environmental science related disciplines. Your specific skillset will complement the wider team.
Experience with strategic environmental advice would be advantageous.
