About the roleReporting to the Manager Housing Support and Services, you will be responsible for working with communities to identify innovative solutions for housing and wrap around services.
This will include identifying opportunities, assessing and mitigating the commercial, legislative, and other risks associated with Housing Support and Services' activities, reviewing the financial feasibility of projects, report writing, responding to Ministerial requests and supporting the set-
up of new funding and stakeholder engagement. This role is fixed term until the end of March 2021 and is based in Ellerslie, Auckland.
About YouThe successful applicant will have excellent communication skills and highly developed written capabilities. With the ability to liaise with people at all levels, you will form effective working relationships across all groups at HUD and with a wide range of external stakeholders.
Experience with stakeholder management and proven success working in challenging and dynamic environments will be an advantage.
Ideally the successful applicant will also have experience, or an understanding of, the public and transitional housing environment.
Your background will include : Proven commercial decision-making experience and leadership skillsProven expertise handling crises / issues real time, either for clients or organisationsExperience in data management and financial monitoring and an understanding of the procurement lifecycleAbility to perform effectively under pressure and in a fast-
paced, results-oriented agency environmentMaintaining oversight of projects, from their initiation through to their deliveryProfessionally mature with sound judgment and the ability to gain immediate credibilityExperience or ability to develop the skills to provide advice to clients, work with suppliers and support the governments multi-
agency work programmesNatural talent to connect with people and build partnerships with stakeholders, service providers and Kaupapa Māori services, iwi and hapu groups.
