We want you to join us as we head into an exciting and exponential phase of growth!The Fergus Software Accounts Assistant role reports directly to our Company Accountant including strong working relationships with our Chief Financial Officer (CFO) & our People and Culture Manager.

You will provide the critical support to the accounting operations and sometimes the HR operations of the Fergus Group by : Supporting our Accountant in running the core operational financial processes including accounts payable, cash and bank management, payroll and expense managementEnsuring accounting services are provided in a timely, accurate and complete mannerEnsuring Fergus team members feel supported by the Fergus Finance TeamAssisting the People and Culture Manager with on-boarding new employees, communications, staff training and professional development, policy and eventsRequirementsA driven personality and an aptness for forward thinkingAttention for detail with a strong initiative is essential for this roleAbility to relate well with and develop relationships including support and cover within the teamEffective communicator - both written and verbalExcellent numeracy and literacyCoachableAble to promote working practices and a culture of safe behaviours and attitudesCommercial understanding of how companies grow shareholder valueExperience with Xero, Receipt Bank and ApprovalMax is a plus1-2 years’ work experience in a similar role would be idealWould suit a recent graduate with a Bachelor degree in finance and currently studying towards CA qualificationBenefitsWe have a very collaborative working environment with a whole bunch of talented people.
