  • Location : Central Wellington, Managed Isolation Facilities
  • Contract : 12 month fixed term, flexible FTE available
  • Come join our team as Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) working in the Managed Isolation and Quarantine facilities in Central Wellington helping us to keep our team of 5 million safe.

    We offer flexible working hours to suit your lifestyle with positions ranging between 16 hours to 40 hours per week.

    The CNC works in partnership with clinical staff and management of the Managed Isolation and Quarantine facilities, as well as a number of external key stakeholders.

    You will be responsible for supporting the implementation, co-ordination and care of Kiwis who are arriving back home to New Zealand.

    Communication and liaison with staff is essential in this role to ensure guests receive Ministry of Health requirements for isolation or quarantine, as well as timely assessment and interventions for underlying or acute health conditions.

    This role must ensure the coordination of the daily operational requirements and requires a strong knowledge of standards, processes and polices.

    The managed isolation and quarantine facilities at this stage in their development are managed as residential care facilities, with a diverse range of returning Kiwi residents who, under Alert Level 1, must remain there for 14 days before returning to their community.

    A team of nurses and GPs provide a 24 hour a day, 7 days a week service that implements the health requirements of their isolation period, as well as timely assessment, diagnosis and acute treatment for underlying health conditions.

    The health team works closely with the Defence Force and Aviation Security within the facilities.

    As you will be working in the isolation facilities, you won’t be able to have employment elsewhere due to the nature of the environment and to protect our community.

  • We are looking for nurses with :

  • A minimum of two years recent clinical nursing experience
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Excellent time management
  • Proven ability to perform safely and effectively in a rapidly changing environment
  • Proven experience, knowledge and expertise in outpatient & ambulatory setting desirable
  • Proven ability to practice autonomously, resolve issues and problems that arise on a day to day basis, or seek assistance when required is desirable
  • Proficient Level on PDRP and a commitment to moving onto the senior pathway desirable
  • You will need to have the legal right to work in New Zealand, and hold a current work visa.
