Resource Management (RM) reform is at a critical point for Aotearoa New Zealand. This is the first time the Government has undertaken reform of this size, giving significant effect to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, improving recognition of te ao Māori and striving to encapsulate the intergenerational importance of the health and wellbeing of the natural environment.

We're looking for an enthusiastic, professional and customer driven individual to step into the role of Business Support Coordinator.
You will join a multi-discplinary team delivering on a priority government Treaty settlement project regarding upholding Treaty settlement commitments and other arrangements within the new resource management system.
You'll work closely alongside a team of Managers, Senior Policy Analysts, project engagement leads and other coordinators to provide diverse administrative support that will enable successful project delivery.
This includes organising hui / meetings and taking meeting minutes, recording and tracking key action points, sending correspondence, maintaining electronic document management and providing weekly team updates on project progress.
This is a unique opportunity to join a specialist team whilst gaining exposure to Treaty settlement policy, legislative frameworks, negotiation and implementation.
In joining us, you'll be provided with the right tools, training and guidance to truly excel. Our Business Support Coordinators are part of a wider centralised model and collaborative group of professionals providing exceptional administration support services across the Ministry.

Having the right person is important to us your problem-solving abilities, organisational and multi-tasking skills and creativity will set you apart, and your relationship management skills will enable you to work collaboratively both within the team and across MfE.
You will be a self-starter with previous administration experience, and proven initiative to provide exceptional coordination support to a busy project team.
Combined with this, you'll be confident in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Excel) with the ability to learn on the fly' and develop your understanding of Ministry systems and processes.

Salary range for this role is from $50,720 up to $61,991 pa. Appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.
