About the Role :

We have opportunities for Site / Project Engineers to join in this exciting project. This project will give you a once in a lifetime opportunity to develop your skills in a technically challenging project.

Your days will be busy and varied while you manage multiple aspects of construction, so a flexible attitude is key.

Your role will include the following :

  • Interpret and advise on designs, project plans, and controls
  • Budget, schedule and plan project works
  • Coordinate and implement technical standards
  • QA and health & safety duties
  • Supervise site staff (operators and labourers) to complete daily tasks
  • Hick Bros Civil Construction takes pride in developing our Site / Project Engineers to progress their skills outside of the physical build and site responsibility of a project, and encourage learning the commercial aspects of contracts such as programs, claims, H&S and QA.

    What we’re looking for :

    You should have at least 12 months’ experience as a site or project engineer in a bulk earthworks or civil construction environment.

    To be successful in this role, you’ll need the following :

  • Tertiary qualifications (BEng Civil, Civil Diploma, BCom or equivalent)
  • Experience in bulk earthworks
  • Experience in civil infrastructure works (roading, drainage, site works)
  • Willing and proactive to get your boots / hands dirty and help out the team on the ground
  • Practical and logical with the ability to think outside the box
  • Any experience operating heavy machinery (diggers, dozers, rollers, compactors, etc.) advantageous
  • What else do you need to know?
