The Tasman District Council is a unitary authority located in a fast-developing region, and we are now seeking planners to join our team.

Whether you join our subdivision, land use, or natural resources units you will enjoy all the benefits of working within a hard-working and motivated team environment.
We encourage our staff to enhance their capabilities and achieve high levels of performance, and, as such ongoing personal and professional career development opportunities will be provided.
While our perfect candidate will have a resource consent processing background, including a working knowledge of the Resource Management Act and district planning rules, we are also interested to hear from those who are still building their expertise in this area.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills will be pivotal to your success as you engage with both internal and external stakeholders of all levels and walks of life.
You will display good analytical and judgment skills necessary to secure the best planning outcomes to the local community, while also understanding the bigger picture.
