Job Description Work on the cutting edge of Māori Crown relations Play a key role in a high performing, ambitious and respected organisation Te āhuatunga a te tūranga / About the Role We're looking for a hard-working, talented and motivated Advisor to join our Partnerships team at Te Arawhiti.

Our work is high-profile, fast-paced and rewarding. You'll bring drive and focus to support our wider Māori Crown relations team's multifaceted work programme.

You're agile, inquisitive and highly motivated and will use your analytical skills in workstreams supporting partnerships and public sector engagement with Māori.

Reporting to the Manager, Partnerships you'll support our Māori Crown relations work programme to : Support public sector engagement with Māori Develop public sector capability to work with Māori Identify, and realise, opportunities for the Crown to partner with Māori Advise and monitor contemporary Māori issues, and Monitor indicators on the health of the Māori Crown relationship He pūkenga tou / Skills and Experience To thrive in this role, you will have : Experience working with Māori An understanding of policy development, analysis and evaluation Experience providing written reports and presentations to a high standard, including high levels of accuracy An understanding of policy development, analysis and evaluation Well-developed written and oral communication skills Mō te tīma / About our Team Ko tā te Te Arawhiti -The Office for Māori Crown Relations - he poipoi i te whanaungatanga, he whakapūmau hoki i te noho pai o te iwi Māori me te Kāwanatanga.

Hei tohu tō mātou ingoa mō te arawhata i waenga i te ao Māori me te Karauna, ngā rā kua huri ki tua, ngā rā kei mua o te aroaro, te ahunga mai i ngā nawe tawhito, ki te mahi kōtui.

Ko te kaupapa o Te Arawhiti he mahi kia piki te tū o te Karauna hei hoa kōtui Tiriti, - kia tautuhi anō, kia whāngai, kia waihanga i te piringa o te iwi Māori raua ko te Karauna, kia kīa ai he kōtuitanga hoa Tiriti tūturu.

The Office for Māori Crown Relations Te Arawhiti is dedicated to fostering strong, ongoing and effective relationships with Māori across Government working towards a true Treaty partnership.

Our name symbolises the bridge between Māori and the Crown, the past and the future, and the journey from grievance to partnership.

We work to make the Crown a better Treaty partner to restore, sustain, and build the Māori Crown relationship towards true Treaty partnership.

Salary Range : The remuneration band for this role is $63,019 to $82,295 based on skills and experience. Applications close on : Monday, 30 May 2022 The Ministry's top priority is the safety and wellbeing of its employees.
