The Wairoa District Council seeks to appoint a motivated individual to assist the Group Manager Community Assets & Services with investigation, planning and monitoring of programmes for infrastructural services and the monitoring and maintenance of the 3 waters assets.

To be successful in this role you will have :

  • A minimum of three years training in infrastructure development and maintenance
  • Minimum of two years practical operational experience in water related or support trade industry
  • Tertiary qualification in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • An understanding of wastewater monitoring and reporting
  • An understanding or wastewater treatment processes
  • Understanding of tikanga and values associated with wastewater management
  • Current drivers licence
  • The position reports to the Engineering Manager.
